Following a shift in business approach from Maersk, moving from being predominately an ocean shipping company to an end-to-end logistics provider, Havas were tasked with driving brand awareness and new user growth across this newly diversified set of products/services.

As a key channel in their media mix, Search was an integral driver of performance and therefore critical to Maersk’s success in securing growth in this area. To deliver against this ambition, Havas delivered an innovative, integrated approach to PPC/SEO via their ‘OneSearch’ strategy and proprietary OneSearch activation platform, which was implemented across 40 markets worldwide. This approach enabled Havas to provide not only a single source of truth for search, but revolutionised the way Maersk were attributing value to these channels and leveraging key insights. From an activation standpoint, Havas were laser focus focused on driving incremental return which led to them exceeding all targets – including a 57% lift in total search traffic and a 20% increase in new user acquisition. This was despite budgets remaining flat YoY.
