What do you think the biggest challenges are currently facing the industry?
The biggest challenges is the massive loss of data signals; between privacy laws and the death of cookies, tracking a customer's journey has become much harder to understand. At the same time, generative AI is challenging the foundations of search. We're moving toward a reality where AI answers the user's question directly, so the traditional goal of driving website traffic is becoming more challenging. We're also seeing a bit of a confused relationship with automation. Platforms are taking more control away from marketers, pushing us into a black holes algorithms that can make campaigns feel generic and we as marketers are unable to understand with lack of transparency.
