From Performance Strength to Brand-Led Growth

White Stuff had built a highly effective performance marketing model, but declining consideration showed that future growth required stronger brand-led demand creation alongside efficient conversion.

Croud developed “Independent Spirits” as the organising idea for an integrated growth strategy. Using audience, brand and media-consumption insight, the team identified the consumers most valuable to White Stuff’s future: people who prioritise quality, individuality and longevity over fast-fashion trends.

Brand and performance activity were then planned as one connected customer journey. Video, BVOD and out-of-home built fame and modernised perceptions, while influencer, social and Pinterest sustained relevance and encouraged consideration. Performance channels captured and converted the resulting demand.

Rather than prioritising reach alone, Croud selected premium and contextually relevant environments capable of strengthening White Stuff’s quality and distinctiveness. Attention data informed channel selection, frequency and investment, while brand tracking and marketing mix modelling connected media activity to both brand and commercial outcomes.

The strategy successfully reversed the decline in consideration and delivered measurable improvements across awareness, brand perceptions, customer acquisition and sales. It transformed separate upper- and lower-funnel activity into a unified, accountable growth model, balancing immediate performance with sustainable long-term brand growth.
